Re: BUGgerd
Its already been resprayed, the pic are too big i dont know how to make em smaller, the cars morpheus metallic with a personal twist, refurb interior, looking for suitable seats, black hoodlining ala golf 5, angeleye headlights, clear custom front indicators, shaven fenders, smoken tails, and sound system for SQ, also going for a playstation setup, but all in good time.

Re: BUGgerd
oh yes...hope u've dressed up the motor. that incoming fuel line looks dangerous. strap it up so it doesnt lie so
close to where the heat is coming from...i've heard of a few beetles that were lost to small "fuel line faults"
id hate yrs to end up like that
oh...another suggestion(only coz im gonna do it and i think it looks awesome)..at autostyle, they sell that engine dress up kit
for R160. it comes with coloured sprag, its the plastic piping u slip over yr electrical wires(yr choice of red, blue and yellow)
and also this steel braided sleeving, which i think looks awesome on all rubber pipes like yr fuel line and brake line-makes it look
like real braided hoses....PLUS-whatever is left of the sprag..u can use for neatening up yr sound. the will be left,
coz u get like 8 metres of the stuff
use it ......dnt use it, just a suugestion

Re: BUGgerd
Thanks mate. Yeah R600 is a good price more or less the going rate for hoodlining. I havent done mine yet, trying to source the black like the golf 5. Also waiting for sound proofing. Using this anti heat foam, throughout, (cheaper than dynamat). And yeah waaay ahead of you, haha the centre page of SnS is my new vantage point, i sit with the autostyle pages daily. Going to get the yellow and blue, sadly they dont have purple or green. The chrome is expensive hey, but might get that anyway. Yeah i know thankfully to ACVW that the fuel lines and filter need to be moved. Going to do that when i change all the lines back to front.

Re: BUGgerd
You must also check out Racers edge, and speed shop, sometimes cheaper, than autostyle, what seats you going for in your bug? And what about the pipes from the shroud? What you going to use there?

Re: BUGgerd
my seats are standard-ive got pretty awesome covers on...yellow and black-i think it looks good, for now
will recover when i have more money.
i am recovering the door panels-plain black vinyl(im goin for the whole black and yellow theme)
the pipes from the shroud will remain...if i can get new ill replace-but NOT do away with....i still use the heater from time to time
especially when i go see my old lady-she stays like 750k's up-coutry(dont ever doubt a beetle, ive been up 3 times already)
PLUS...i once blocked the outlet of the fan cover,so as to let more air blow over the barrels(so i thought)....BIG MISTAKE
coz i still have the standard exhaust....the motor got super hot never realy put any hought into what went wrong, not to bothered-just
wanna change the exhaust.
sound proofing?i took my cabbie to a small sound off and managed 127db's with 1 svc 12' pioneer...which i thought wasnt bad--love to upgrade my
system
hey...did you come right with re-sizing yr pics?????????????

Re: BUGgerd
The P0 of mine. Capped the shroud. Dumb ass, so im gonna get the ram air tubing from autostyle o whoeva. Yeah i forgot about Max.... Or even that creepy crawly pipes, but they might melt so jaaa. Im thinking on settling for bride racing seats, and reupholster the reat bench. Waaay cool your heater works. Haha i gotta get new cables and recover they y tube, dont know what to use tho. And yeah you gotta soundproof the roof, that ting ting sound when rain hits, not cool, also sound deadning the back firewall, makes less engine noise enter the cabin, less rattles+more insulation= higher dbs. More so as im going for sq. Yeah i'll post pics later. The weathers playn kak in durbs hey! Im going black vinyl with custom fibreglass pods on the doors, when i can. Also thinking electric windows..

Re: BUGgerd
i think/feel max motorsport and racers edge sell "cheaper looking" stuff....dont get me wrong, the some of the stuff is awesome
like the tacho dubster got from max for R100-what can you buy nowadays for R100? thats right-NOT MUCH
im definitely gettin myself 1 of those...infact, i bought my indicators at max. i just think some of autostyles stuff looks a little better,
PLUS...they do give a discount if you buy a few things
