Beautiful Ghia! Just spent 30 mins reading all the history. Worth all the pain though I'm sure....inspirational to me, certainly. Thanks

The new front beam is in. It still handles a little stiff, but i'm sure it will loosen up 'n bit.
Also installed the fuel tap.

There were a few other beetles and busses as well. I didn't get round to all to take pic's. Nice event and venue.

The Ghia is going on retirement. It's not my daily driver anymore. At the moment it's standing at work. I must admit, I miss driving it to work and back, but thankfull that I don't have to drive it in the rain.

I removed those fake whitewall tyre inserts. It looks like the inserts and tyres do not match. The insert is quite abrasive on the outside and caused damage to the tyre.

Wow, that is quite a bit of scuffing. Shame though, because it looks nice on a classic. WTF dont they make whitewalls for classics anymore???

After work today I decided to take the Ghia for a quick drive to the petrol station and back. It started alright. I drove down the driveway out the gate and then...it was dead. It turned over but no petrol coming into the carb. I opened the bonnet and looked into the petrol tank. Enough petrol in the tank. I suspected the pump, got behind the drivers seat again and then my eye caught the fuel tap. It was half closed, half open
