Hey All
What is so difficult about replacing king and link pins on a beetle. The way I see it there are two difficulties. The fisrt one being the boring of the brass bushes. This should not be to difficult if one has use of a lathe. The second being the shims. Although I have a list telling you how many shims to use according to the "offset" betweem the top and bottom arm. Any comments and ideas will be gratefully accepted.
Thanks in advance.

You dont use a lathe but a reamer which has to be the correct size or you start again I tried finding the correct reamer for 2 years in South Africa and eventually found one in brazil so am able to do the job now
the shims just need common sense
A press will be usefull as well
