update
so ok havent posted n a long time so been busy removing bad areas of rust and rubberising paint and so on ok so as most people should know when u get to build your own bug or whatever it may be we get to decide what, how and when but when isnt always on our side ,a few things have caught my eye and they would make my project something i like
golf mk1 fender flikers

rostyles with a touch

white

of corse will need adaptors for rostyles and the flikers will have the cutout from a volkswagen golf where the fliker sits on either fender then in terms of colour want to look at white am not a big fan of yellow ,white is a colour that a person just never tends to get bored of whereas your metalic blues and more harsher colours a person tend to eventualy get bored of them so this is something that will be with me for a long time and i therefore want something i can live with so it might take time but i would rather spend 4 maybe even 5 years doing something that is right and was not hurried so that when its done its will be just the way i imagined it (please any advise would help)

Re: 14 year old build
'72, I have to admit, I like the blue...white shows all the dirt too quickly but then I guess you will be polishing everyday anyway

Re: 14 year old build
Schweet white Rawkz on any vehicle. Covers imperfections (if any) well also good at hiding scratches and small dings,... Look at an ice white like the gti or maybe a pearl white. The side repeater is a great addition, Im doing the same to mine. Figuring out how to cut out the holes for the indicators i have is my problem at the mo. But il figure it out.
Try getting to a scrap yard and getting the wiring plugs to make it an easier job when wiring. I suggest putting em just below the top hinge.
Adapters are expensive hey.

Re: 14 year old build
wanted to go with the orange but over time just looking at it has made me sick of it then in terms of the dirt look white gets over time was told of a clear cote that when left in the sun turns to a gel and it always looks like it has just been painted
well was thinking of actualy removing cap and putting in a older tank the one that u fill up from the inside of the hood and the placing it about +-2cm away from beading then in terms of actaul mounting of side indictors want to cut out the actual indicator hole from a golf 1 fender inplant it onto the beetle .
i know adaptors are expensive but i would rather do it right once and get it the way i pictured it than put on any old rim and not like it

ok in terms of the rostyles would i have to send a rim in to get detailed like that, i know of a place called the wheel shop somewhere in jhb has anybody ever used them for anything and if so does anyone have pics of some there work.
