I have just bought this panel van which I intend to restore. Can anyone give me any information on it. It seems to be Brazilian manufactured, but I'll be damned if I can find any info on the web. I did manage to get at least 2 pics off the web after about 2 full days of searching.
I was told that it is approximately a '69 or '70 Type 2 model. It has a bay window with an older type rear end, except for the tail lights which seem to be an upgrade on the round lights.
It seams to be a late 60's early 70's bus. Blue with one red door. Aircooled.

Hmm... this forum, most likely. I have seen threads here that describe your Brazilian-bay-nosed-splitty- rear-Fleetline-reduction-box-bus in a lot of detail. Keep searching... At the Hermanus show there was one parked next to us and there's at least one in Villiersdorp.
About 76 model brazillian, bay front with pressed vw badge on it like the fleetline, came out just after the fleetlines, got universals on the back axels. Was the budget option alongside the SA built micro bus.

You can see the Fleetline origins here a lot easier. The red door doesnt belong on yours - not because of the obvious colour discrepancies but because of the window

"Wanna sell it" "Yeah, but there's a national shortage on 'for sale' signs."
