Today I got a chance to work a little on my Buggy's engine.I've had the exhaust lying around for a couple of months now and thought it would look good on the Buggy. What do you guys think.

Also took the heater outlets on the airbox off. They will be replace with stainless steel plates.

Nice! I like the J-pipes going above the valve covers. But how are you gonna fit the horizontal part of the J-plates?

After a nice hard run, pull in to the garage and get the guy to check the oil. Will indeed be fun watching him pull the dipstick

Yes, it protects the pushrod tubes. I lost two tubes (and almost all the engine oil) on HW1 in a forest outside George when I drove over a branch, and it flipped up. Had to do some walking for help :?

I was thinking of making a guard under the engine that fits onto the bar or just refitting the j-plates.There is more than enough space.

I've heard the same thing, and I do have them on, but for different reasons. Uhm... they look nice when they are nice and blue and clean... uhm, branches jumping up and ripping out push rod tubes, yes, but air flow I don't buy unless you are referring to the forget-me-not.

Blou-gemoerte never had them on (had to save on weight... ) and I never had any air flow problems. Mythbusters... where are you.

The forget-me-nots are on the engine.athe j-plates I don't think will be essential as I've seen plenty trikes and Buggies with no j-plates on and the run cool.

If you have J-plates lying about, stick them on, they don't weigh that much... So they won't do any harm...

You know, like, just in case...
