Oh and an iPod would be wickid. But no radio functionality.... I think. And if yov do that, your going to need a pre amp or equalizer. The amp alone wouldnt b able to tune the right frequencies. Instead of 6*9z. Go with co axials in the rear under the seat, of if the front seats are done yet, put the speakers in the back rest. Herzt, JL audio, rockford, xtc audio are schweet. Check out metro audio or something like that. In the speed and sound mag.

I love Rockford, but the prices! I think there's only one place importing them and accredited to install them.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

Yup lightning kicks ass! RF in sheeps clothing. Go read up the ice thread, theres something about a droptop, and sound insulation, you may need that.

This was a :bn: load of work to get this front end sorted with all the Urethane bits

You will see I maneged to get urethane cups even for the Tierods so had to strip the std cups off
Then the urethane cups would not fit properly then the Thick antiroll barr, had to modify the urethane mounts there
also aswell

But it is looking good

DSCN0586 (Large).JPG

Just need a few small items to finish the front end off ready for fitting
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
And Special Boxes built for Rotary Conversions and Scubies

for quality and affordabillity....6 inch starsound splits-front and back
4ch audiobank amp(ive had my amp for like 3 years and i hammer it, and its proved itself)

personally, i would say thats the best quality for rand spent. dont waste your time with 6x9's, they might save space and easy to install....
...but u'll neva get the sound quallity that you would from a split system. and the 6 inch is enough bass. if u go starsound with the amp, even better.
compatible components always work better. and u'll have a kickass install if it all one brand.

im sure plenty ppl will disagree.... just my opinion

hmmmm.... they have good mid-bass if in a decent tight small enclosure, but most 6" drivers cant even produce the frequencies that is usually referred to as bass. They fade out around the 120Hz region.

Food for thought.

- 6 inch starsound splits-front and back - R 7K, more or less

- 4ch audiobank amp - R 4K, more or less

- driving down Margate beachfront blasting Loslappie on repeat at deafening decibels - PRICELESS!!!
