Do the later Golf's have air con and power steering? I have a 96 1300, now my daughters student car. I have some extra grey hair with the Golf the last past month, but after a to service the carb and a new foot for the carb its running good.
Would like to get a later model MK1 but only if I can have it with air con and power steering

Aircon was a dealer option on the Citi's, so there are some of them running around with A/C, you can fit one to a non A/C car if you have about R8K lying around..
Power steering, I've never seen a Citi with power steering, like with all things in life I'm sure you can do a conversion of sorts???

Selling is not a problem, but buying a new/newer car that is mechanical good is a problem. to replace the golf I would at least net a extra R40k

Ok, a small update, got the Teledials back, now I need to have the adapters made, I just don't have enough time, with studying for my upcoming exams & all..
They messed up the centre caps, so I'm still waiting to get them back..

The wheels went back to The Mag Specialist today, upon closer inspection there was a fair bit of overspray on areas there shouldn't be and some small imperfections, so they are re-doing them.
I am in two minds about using these okes again, their work was not bad but not enough attention to detail was given to the wheels, on the other hand their service was quite good..

I got the mags back, I will NEVER be using The Mag Specialist again - EVER!
Just about a month and they got the colour wrong 3 times on the re-doing of their first mess-up..
I'm just waiting for my adapters from Maugene Eng. then they will get fitted to the car (got some Yokohama's to go on the rims almost a month ago too..)
