My EX daily driver - 2009 Citi Storm.

Post by riaanj »

Well it was time to retire the Seat Ibiza, after I spent money on a major service, skimming the disks & new brake pads, the aircon pump seized a bearing and totally f*%@d out, costing (and this was the cheapest quote I could find) R9500 to fix. After this was fixed I had intermittend problems with the car running erratically, went for diagnostics & the throttle body said goodbye.. Got a couple of quotes and this would have been another (cheapest quote) R7800 to fix.
I have a guy that's comming to collect the car this week - as is/voetstoots - for R38500.
I bought my vrou a new Polo sedan & took her Citi Golf, now my new daily driver..
Herewith some pics:

you can never go wrong with a MK1. it will stand by you through thick and thin. had a CTI for 13 years. only to open the engine to replace rings after 12 years. got a TENACITI 1.4i now. not the most comfortable cars but awesome little fun boxes  :hangloose:

As soon as I have time they will be dropped off to be repainted & detailed like I want them..

I want to keep these for the Golf, they are 15" and a perfect fit for the car, they will be treated to some TLC soon, just got some other odds & ends to sort, had to get the wife's Polo's windows tinted so maybe after next payday..
P.S. there is some polishing involved in my plans, just need to see who can sort them for me..

P.P.S. I want to fit 17" wheels on the beetle, Lenzo wheels, but can't find anybody that has stock of the ones I want! :(
