Nothing is set in stone yet. I can't get too excited with everything just yet as it all depends on what news IMPI comes back to me with regards to my engine and what will have to be done to it. It's going to be pretty basic internally as money constraints right now are dictating how built up this motor will be.
But in laymens terms I'm looking at a 2.0 type 4. P&P job on the heads, bigger valves, (IMPI showed me skyline valves that can be made to fit, so that's something to think about), crank is pretty much going to be stock with only a mild cam being installed. Pistons I'm still thinking as I'd like to go something imported, but I think my budget won't allow for something like that right now. ARP head studs with a stock oil cooler set-up pretty much rounds out the sub assembly.
EFI for sure, this I have decided already and I'm sure a set of superbike ITB's can be made to work. I'm looking at 5 sets right now, but also have nothing set in stone as of yet. Honda 160i 270cc injectors & Fuel rail and custom fuel lines, custom linkage, custom manifolds with injector positions, Convert the dizzy to run a golf Hal sender unit and a few other things........nothing special..............dictator for the EFI as I've had it in two other cars and I know a great tuner in Pretoria.
Budget.............R10 000 for the sub assembly and R5000 for the EFI. Add an additional R3000 for IMPI's upright conversion kit.
I hope

Well I've had a bit of a break-through.
I got to talking to an american this morning and he showed me his DIY EFI set-up.
Single 63mm throttle body, holding the TPS and MAP sensors already on it, stock type-4 fan housing, custom intake manifold that looks almost like this, but with 4 cylinders, this manifold will also have to be custom made for my application, or maybe I can modify a stock type 4 set-up.
This solves a lot of problems:
1) syncronising the ITB's is apparently a bit of a bitch
2)
MUCH cheaper as already have a 63mm throttle body off a Honda Civic that I can use, complete with all of the sensors.
He also recomended that I keep the stock cooling shroud from the type 4 as it'll fit pretty nice in the back of the speedster, in fact it'll fill out the engine bay better than a type 1 motor. Plus It'll allow me to run a nice custom ram induction set-up for the engine if the throttle body is mounted in the center.......I can utilize the intake grill on the back of the speedster as a functional intake than can slot into the air-filter set-up.
Flat 4 metal looks something like this.
He's left me lots to think about.

Update. Even though funds are low, I've managed to have a bit of a break through with my purchasing power and I should have an update with pictures by this Friday.
