I will join. Saturday afternoon drive and camp over sounds good. Christo will also join with his bus for this.

Although I am not a fan at all of the West Coast and the drive being flat and boring, I will still join nevertheless where everybody decides to go.

Beaverlac is great, but I fear that many buses may struggle down and back up the now very bad road...We went there over Easter and I was glad to have taken my 4x4 rather than one of my campers...Paternoster (Titiesbaai) may be an idea - also a bit of a bad road the last few km's though. Lots of fun could be had at Church Haven en route to Langebaan - some great beaches there for pics...If it's on 30 May we're in....

Ok so Saturday 30th May up West Coast it is.
Let's see how this one goes and if its a success we can do more routes in the future.

Which camp site do you guys prefer to stay over at?

Any camp site with clean ablution will do Don.

Let me know if you need help to book accommodation, once we have our final numbers... Most campsites in that area fall under the Saldanha Municipality.

@Sean, I for one would like to join you on one of your epic road trips, but Barrydale and Montague might be too far for some for a one day trip.
@Derek, I agree... Beaverlac is beautiful, hot as hell, but that gravel road up and down, makes you sometimes regret not taking a 4x4.

Seriously?

You obviously haven't seen a bad road before. The road to Beaverlac is 100% for a Mercedes Benz and caravan behind it without issues. I go there every year and its in no better or in worse condition. A VW bus can handle a road 10 times worse.

Hey Volks, to all interested parties, we please need a show of hands as to who is joining us for sure, in order for us to make a booking at Leentjies Klip. If you are vouching that someone that not on the forum, is joining us, please include that in your numbers. Anybody not included in those numbers are welcome to join on the day as there is sufficient space for all.

I would like to make a booking by Friday coming. Please view Leentjies Klip for rates (in blue tab) and gallery etc.

http://www.saldanhabay.co.za/pages/reso ... tjies.html

2 kombis allowed per camp site stand, so price per stand could be shared by 2 kombis. I have asked them to pencil in 10 stands for us close to the sea, with grass, and very nearby ablution blocks.

Regards
Muds

I spoke to Donovan last night. Maybe I'll join you guys for the departure and leave you at the Melkbos turnoff - all depending on where you start from.
Sorry, cant give you much more time than that at the moment.
