when you get the next set of doors. Look at the bottom of them, they have small drain holes.... these are often blocked so the water stays in the dorrs, leading to the rust problem you have......

each and every car i get i check that all drain holes are properly open, doesnot matter on what make and model it is. and i also 1 a year take the door panels of and wash the inner doors properly out with water and soap
have nothing on the cards now, but have a red beach buggy in sight that I want

PS. must say the 2 doors that i have is on the inside in a good condition, or at least the one is , because it is open , i will open the other one to have a look on its condition on the inside

One of my first bug was also a 65 the first year of the not flat w/shield :wink:

I just received my engine also for the price of R500 complete! Nr. 692**** will this be the correct engine?

This car is still in parts waiting to get some panels to replace rusted ones - THIS ONE HAS TO SURVIVE!
