Pre 67 type threes had beetle mounts the rears were the same after 68 but the front mount changed to a type 3 only part. BTW i would rather break a mount than a gearbox

Went underneath the Fasty yesterday after I read this post..
Discovered 3 things:-
1. The front mount is the same as a Beetle...
2. The gearbox seals need replacing
3.Spiders are freakish creatures and lay eggs in the funniest of places
Be glad you haven't had a run-in with a Black Widow colony...that ain't fun!

I once heard that Daddy Long Legs spiders (Langbeenspinnekoppe) are natural enemies of Black Widow spiders, in other words you will never find both species at the same place
