And Oliver Twist asked, can I have some more please sir ?
Remember the bootlid I was looking for?
Turns out that MR Bugoff here was just being lazy

- **ducks** .
He just needed to work some of his magic on it.
Please bear in mind, I went to go take a look at the bootlid, the rear strip was almost rusted away completely, swiss cheese.
The thin strip that it attaches to was also bent and broken. REAL STATE.
Before pics as a reminder:
Now it looks like this:

Karma,do you still want that thing that we spoke about a while ago? Or can I put it into the fasty

Blitz, if it's that round thing you turn corners with, and it will help get the fasty ready sooner, then put it in the fasty, I still have the notch's thing

A quick ad break.
No work done over the holidays, but paint coming in January!
Watch this space.
I did find time to do the following though:
Remember the Type 3 Clock I got from Muds?
Took it apart (CAREFULLY !).
Polished the shiny bits, cleaned the "glass", sanded off the rust on the rim, and then paint.
Closest paint match was actually grey primer! So I gave it two thick coats.
After drying and reassembly, we end up with this:
Not Perfect, as there are some slight sratches on the glass and chrome, but good enough without replacing parts and all original.
I suppose to test all we need is 12V ? Anything I should be wary off when connecting it to the battery? 12V positive to the tab sticking out the back and ground to the body of the clock right?

Looking good, I would be rather happy with a clock in that condition after seeing how it started

So yours only has one tag, Hmm, the VDO in the 924 had 2 tags i think, one + and one -. I would couple it up and see what happens. if those clocks tick for each second couple up for a second or 2 and see if it ticks...
