So here are the build picks I promised but never got round to doing. Like i said I did not take many detailed picks as I was more concerned with putting it together properly.

I followed the "bug Me" videos and several manuals. Please enjoy.

Did the little quality control inspector, with the white coat, aprove of the work done? LOL
I had a little Terrier some years ago, he would come out from under a car full of oil, very inquisitive and bright.

First congrats on the engine build. I hope to have a go at that some day.

Second, did your brother mail that package to you? What did it weigh?

Drusky it was 12kgs for both. The savings came in at customs. things like cams and barrels and so on are tact to death but heads for some resin are not. My father inlay does a lot of importing and exporting for the pharmaceutical industries and he got me in touch with a currier that handled every thing. I can't think of there name offhand, but they basically guaranteed the price of shipping and customs. Oh it came by sea so it took a little longer.

WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH GRACE AND THE FAMILY SHE TRANSPORTED AND HOUSED LAST WEEKEND.
WE RAN IN CONVOY FROM DURBAN ON OUR FIRST "DURBAN KOMBI CLUB" TRIP. THE BUS RAN WELL, THERE AND BACK, AND WAS TREATED TO A TUNE-UP ON HER RETURN HOME. THANKS STEW. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT ONE.

So some up date on the bus.

I had to rebuild the master brake cylinder. that went really well. found the needed seals and so on from the local Midus. Only to find that the drivers side rear cylinder was leaking BAD. all over the shoes. this make the brakes stick when you just touch the brake pedals. I attempted to rebuild that cylinder. didnt work :( the replacement seals, being after market didn't fit all that well. So I bought two new ones and installed them. All good now.

So now the only part of the bus I have not had my greasy hands in is the Gear Box....

I test drove the bus around for a bit as a shake down. then it was off to Cars in the Park (PMB). that was a JOL saw some cool buses and some forum members. but all in all was a lot of fun just to road trip in the old girl. she did not skip a beat. Cruising at 80 Kph all the way even up the pass to the tollgate. Fuel consumption on the open road was OK not the best I have ever had.

Man I had a smile from ear to ear!!

Till the next time Stew!
