I think he even removed the rear boot lid catch to put on his mates Notch. Just don't tell Ron.

When we left Es said something about the catch being thrown away with the rear side window trim.
So .....And..... Where are those Photos..... :?: :?: :?:

Update,.

Received my Windscreen from Impi today, as well as the type 4/type 3 conversion air intake shroud.

Looks good, and thanks for the info as well.

Thanks also to Chris for bringing it down, that was great.

Will be fitting it, with the new rubbers, that I had to get from VW ISP West.

Now no reason for not having the fastback going for George.........

It would appear that Tony Z would be correct..

Due to the move of home, office, and workshops, the Fastback is anything but fast.
In fact it has come to a full stop.

Lets hope I can start again shortly........

Now that I have my German rubbers from USA, the front screen went in perfect, then the pop out side windows, all fit perfect, then the rear window went in with its slight chip, and POOOOW!, ..... the whole window creaked like a spiders web......Dam.....

Now we look for a rear window...............

Well we back to getting the Fastback ready for the road....
Still waiting for a small item from Flower Fountain, (or as you boerkies call it Bloemfontein. )
Slowly fitting the wind up windows, with all the new rubbers, and window slides that I got from USA.
Due to the damage to the chrome resound beading, I have decided to black out the beading, and only leave the vent window chrome. Also changed the outer scraper rubber for a HD rubber, so that I limit the amount of water into the door.
Will post photos when it is all done, due to the mass of parts that have to go into the door, in the right sequins.
Must say thanks to Impi, for the replacement window, and all the guys involved in bringing it down, thanks guys, this is what makes this forum so great........
Well till next time.....

Have completed the passenger side door, and all is well........

As the parts can only go back in one sequence, had to work it out all over again.

Will post this sequence in the Advice thread for others to find, should they so need.

Door works well and will now do the driver door, then fit the door rubbers, and it will be ready for the road, should the powers to be allow it..... .....

Well the drivers door is also done, now I can get the upholsterer back to complete the carpets, and adjust the ride hight, when all is fitted. else the extra weight will allow me to miss-adjust again.

Fitted the Rear screen window that I got from Impi, with the new rubbers, and it fits perfect.
Also fitted the 4mm "O" ring cord into the trim slot, now its time for the Upholsterer to fit the carpets, and repair the small imperfections that he screwed upon on the head liner.
Will then ride it for a few Kilos, to set the stance, and then set the back swing arms, to get a level ride.
Photos to follow.........

:D Did you notice that the beading has been left out  , and that I have fitted a 4 mm "O" ring rubber into the slot  to lock in the rubber, and this took time but I like it like that......

More photos to follow....

Really happy with how the car is coming along.

Received my new Stainless steel type 4 Tuffy exhaust today, Looks goooooood... :D

Now I will be able to tune the car to its correct values..

and modified the "IMPI" shroud ( sorry Armand) to close out the suction from the Alto side with a web.

This will close off most of the area under the shroud, where the belt is running, so preventing hot air from getting in....

Waiting for more toys to arrive...........

Someone promised me a type 3 dipstick and lock top as mine is gone, but need to go back in my posts who it was
