By the time this is done, it will have more Ferdi added metal than real German added metal
Nice work guys! This is the only active Type 3 build thread on this site....

Hi all, just remember blitz: all the metal comes from a beetle that was cut up a while ago. so its still german metal, just relocated and put back to good use.

Episode, what are we ? : must be around 12 now.
speaking of Organ donors.
I was busy just minding my own business, having a loonnnggg week, when some pictures arrived in my inbox today quite unexpectedly.
To be honest, I don't even know where some of these pictures are from. This notch has more rust than other cars have places.
So I wont say too much, except that the A-pillars could actually support a windshield again.
Last pic is my favourite (for now
)
I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking:

I can ALMOST hear angel choirs:

Glad to see that there is some progress being made again!
Bugoff, you are the man when it comes to sorting out rust.

The Rust has been sorted. Now thats music to a man's ears!
Big thank you to Ferdi for persevering.... Still looking for that bootlid.
Also a big thank you to Bugger, who selflessly alerted me to some new type 3 balljoints at Volkspares. Ordered , paid and collecting tomorrow. Thanks Pierre!
We should have the fender welts before the weekend as well. Headlights, tailights , glass all ready, just say when I should bring.
Progress, does wonders for a blue monday
