Has any one got any advice on a new ignition system. I have the golf system but I'm not to happy with it

Well since you do seem willing to spend some cash, why not look at the pertronix system. I've got it and i'm happy with it.
From fastest to slowest:

Birkin race car, not much is standard
Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard
'75 SP 1600 with a few mods
B8 A4 Avant tdi, towing made easy

or where did you source the kit?and does the kit come with everything needed or is there a few more things to get with it?o and how many horses are you spraying? :hangloose:

ja that is actaully the way to go then just get a ecu to drive the ignition and then you have the ecu to go FI later?ps hoe many horses are you spraying and how does it feel and does the motor like it?

Gone spray 75 HP . Still got lots to sort out, will run it in about 2 or 3 weeks but will keep you up to date

:shock: faaarrrkkk....will it withstand it?has the motor been built for it?what fuel pump you running for the nos?what compression ratio is your motor at?sorry for al the questions but just very interseted and im almost at a cross roads to go gas or start a turbo build...

Motor should be ok all forged parts. Running a holey fuel pump and regulator.
