Man dude you r doing gr8 work... and all the advice ppl are sharing is making me learn soooo much...![]()
It took me 2 days to read throught this thread and i have been making notes all along...![]()
Firstly your Stearing wheel rocks...man!!!
I had two extra kits that I sold on the Forum a while ago, I found them new old stock in a parts shop in Vereeniging where they have been lying for the better part of the past 25 years on a shelf. There weren't any more, but I'm sure with a bit of searching one should be able to source it somewhere else. How about a CitiGolf setup?Secondly: a few things id like to ask.. bear with me if you dont mind...
Window washer bottle and mechanism: Do you still have extra set for sale or where can i get that
Yes, I can't see why not. Unfortunately I do not have another one. The metal nozzle is from a 1965 Mercedes 230S (fintail), a car that actually had two of them fitted to a VDO rubber 'pump' that you pumped with your foot to pressurise the water in the reservoir, just like a water pistol. If you really want to go to the extreme, the S-class W126 Mercedes has a nozzle with a little electric element to de-ice the nozzle before spraying the water on your windscreenWindow Jet Nozzels: Would they work on a standard late model beetle and do you have one for sale - i like the metal parts
Golf 1 steering column assembly that fits the Beetle steering tube like a gloveGolf Indicator/wiper Unit: Is that golf 2/3 unit and how will that go around a beetle steering colomb??
Wish i could do IRS on my project beetle...ag, mayb some day...
Thanks, I use the thread as a constant motiviation to keep momentum (something one tends to lose easily with this type of project). I am by no means a technical guru, but it is a worthy learning curve, and I'm enjoying every moment of itShot Pine and everybody contributing...amazing thread amongst so many..
