One day,one day when I'm totally happy with the car, the sad story of this car's engine saga will be told....

Here's a lesson to all prospective ACVW project builders. DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU READ ON THE NET!!!!!!!!!!!

Stick to the word of your local SA based ACVW expert and everything will be good.

*rant over*

As it stands, engine completely assembled - Heads torqued the works, now I need to put pushrods in, rockers on etc. If all goes well, I'll be starting the engine up this weekend. Carbs have been cleaned, didn't strip them completely but opened up the tops and cleaned out all the dead fuel that was in there :?

I've found a guy who does sandblasting decently, so sent the tins etc to blast. Then having them painted too....

I'll be taking a day or so off work next week sometime, if all goes well WE WILL BE AT THE MINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

No, Dirk wasn't available to do work on the car this weekend so didn't start it, most likely one of the evenings in the week. I've done a lot of other work on the car, will update soon, when I have a picturemaker.
