Thanks for all the well wishes, I've finally got the car legal today as it's on my name after a long struggle, with a roadworthy - so calls for real celebration!!

I've started an awesome new job which actually pays, so have been busy with that, hence the lack of pretty photos.

The fasty is really filthy, so will be detailing it throughly this weekend, in and out. Also need to address some pesky oil leaks. So far it has done 150 KMs and it pulls strongly with no issues so far.

After this weekend, I promise to post some new photos and some shots of the car driving....worry not

Road trip anyone? :hangloose:

Thanks....

Not doing anything more on the car. Leaving it as is, with a few add-ons.

Finally got my papers back tonight, with a license disc, so everything is 100% and it can be driven. Contacts are everything, I've found a legitimate contact to get stuff done for me. If anyone wants to know more, PM me.

900 KMs later and I'm still smiling.

My only regret is that I don't get to drive the little bitch often these days.

Will be up for sale soon. To fund the next project.

Still in my life, still annoys the neighbours and the crazy old lady up the road whose dogs bark when I rev it and blitz past

This is the latest addition to the fasty.

Now stickerbombed at the back and will be getting a rusted front bonnet too

Where did you get all those stickers? I need a few more.

Back needs to come down a bit, but other than that it's quite a bit of fun...

Sorry for the poor cellphone picture, was taken at midnight at the local filling station after one of those random midnight drives/noisemaking

Can you say stickered??

This is an ode to the first car that taught me the art of wrenching, collecting parts, appreciating good old German engineering and learning how to budget and save to buy parts etc......amazing how a cheap little aircooled vw can put so much perspective on life and teach you a good few lessons.

Yes I have finally sold the car and the new owner collected it today and is having a lot of fun spinning around in it....

Farewell to le blitzmobile. The memories which surround this car are absolutely epic.

You will be missed.

Last picture in this thread....

I would like another aircooled sometime, but not going to rush into anything.....will see what I can find maybe in December or so 8)

cheers guys. It was fun......
