Re: Wrek Rescue - aka The Notch
Thanks guys, ive just been cutting, welding, welding, welding and some more welding since tuesday. Ive actually got blisters on my neck from it. The notch is comming along nicely. It will be nice and solid when done. From what ive heard about the color choice, the upholstery will also look pretty good when done. Hopefully not too long to go now.

I am very impressed... Mechanical work is fairly easy, but I am always in awe when I see things like your heater channel replacement. It is this kind of work that saves cars, anyone can change out a gearbox...
I look forward to the rest of the soapie...

Actually he bought another something for the notch today.. Both items from same stable.
Congratz, can't wait to see these polished, combined with the red paint.

Re: Wrek Rescue - aka The Notch
Where to use them is a nice problem to have. But now my budget is blown!
So one of the cars will have to use stock wheels.
Since the beetle is all original, I guess we'll keep it that way and use these on the notch.
Seems that every notch picture out there is with a) BRM's ,aa) FUCHS, b) 2 Litre porsche, c)Stock. Since there are very few pics with the empi 5's, I think they will go on the notch just to be different. Once the acvw budget recovers again (sometime late 2032 I have heard), then we can get a set of those new 911 Fuchs for the notch, and move these to the beetle. ( I wish )

Re: Wrek Rescue - aka The Notch
dont get me wrong. both polished and chrome equally looks the ,but the empi's hav awequad corners.to polish up a wheel nicely lots of friction with p11 or autosil and a old cotton vest (not the leopard print type) is needed. if u hav the time and an extra set if finger nails go for it.
