A little update for a change. At last i'm finished with the pan, the suspension all welded in and everything spray painted

It's standard gas shocks, all i did was to cut off the upper tube of the shock and fit rubber dust covers to give it a different look.
I can't wait to get it finished and drive it either, at least i got a whole winter ahead to get it done

This weekend i started on a new front bumper skid plate thingy.
Apart from cosmetic it will also protect the steering rack hanging under the pan.
There's a piece or two that must still be added, but the weekend came to an end

that looks pretty insane!!!

Then you must have had bad luck, cause they normally last many years and plenty km's in a Golf.

The carb is a 32/36 dgv weber.

Ye well tell me about it...still rather pissed off about it anyway...You know where I can get the internals from...it's a Bosch 009 dizzy?

I'm not sure but is'nt the 009 a points dizzy? In your case fitted with an ignitor?
I used the internals from a Golf dizzy and fitted that to the stock beetle dizzy. You will get Golf distributors at any scrapyard, if it's an ignitor you're looking for try Callooker
