Donovan, you will find that most will not make the effort to join and remain in front of their televisions. Best just to pack your own stuff and go.

Agreed. In my experience, I've found it's best to organise an event as though I will be the only one who shows up. If anyone else joins me then that's a bonus. If not, no disappointment and I and mrsfig have a great time anyway. Also, when I organise an event, it will go ahead come hell or high water (literally).

Talking about the weather, a few years back I organised a Kaapse Kombi Kult konvoy and kamp-out at Mountain Sanctuary Park. Beforehand, five bus owners had confirmed they'd attend. Then it rained solidly for four days before the event, and I recorded 120mm at my home the night before the konvoy. It was still pissing with rain when mrsfig and I departed for the rendezvous. When we got to the meeting point we were surprised to find seven buses and their passengers waiting for us.

Those who are truly committed will show up no matter what, while the armchair enthusiasts will have excuses even when the sun shines. Set a time that works for you and press on regardless ...

The idea behind this was to get kombi owners together, go on a lekker drive and have a lekker social at the camp site braai.

My kombi leaks loads and the wipers are pretty useless so I'm not to keen on driving in the rain. I also don't have much camping equipment like a gazebo. So if it does rain I sit in my kombi as that's my only shelter.

Kombi will be packed ready for anything Saturday morning.

Also just noticed that the event is still being shared on facebook. Last activiity was 10min ago

I was going to join you guys at the meeting spot before you left for the camping anyway. So nothing changes for me.
I cant make the time for camping, so my meet and greet is still on. Johanb should be coming through in his beetle too just to say hi

Have cancelled the Facebook Invite as requested.
I won't be there as I'm taking Winston to Glassfit to help refit my 3 side windows back into the Bus. Clearly I don't know the technique, so they can educate me. Then at least allt he Windows are back in.

Except for the burnt out truck causing huge traffic it was a nice drive and meet.

I won't be at Killarney as I'm not into the racing thing and going around a track.

I'll be at airsoft on Saturday.
