I drove her to work today, took the longest way possible
She did not miss a beat.

Just setup the timing today. ( I have not got a timing light at home)
I'll put some milage on her this weekend then we'll se what she can do.

Took her for a drive last night again. The carbs def need more sync, she feels terrible at the bottom. Full throttle seems ok. According to the data logger she makes 81kw at the wheels at 6800rpm. I've tested the data logger before and it was really acurate.

For the logger you enter the cDa, weight, tire size and gear ratios. The logger has a built in accel meter and gps.

There is a thread in Advice which will talk you through balancing the carbs out. It's quite easy to do give it a try...

I'll have a look again tonight. It's just a timely story.
Bought myself one of those EMPI PRO sync tools for the job. It's worth every penny!

Forgot to mention, on the data logger I've got the engine bay temp hooked up as well. The sensor is located just above the nr3-4 carb. Standing still in the garage, the bay temp went up to 35'c. Driving around the block twice it went down to 18'c. So lifting the bootlid up on top does make a hige difference it cooling. Ambient temp was +- 14'c.
