Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
Yes you're right, it would look nice. Now if only we could find you a set like that.
Unfortunately I am going to fit mine to the bay as I am struggling to find decent mags and it looks like 15" is the only size that I can get the right size tyres to keep the rolling diameter the same. I'll keep a lookout for you in the Junkmail.

I tried!
I still can't decide on the wheels, but let me get it up and running and then I can decide.

I have met so many people, made so many new friends and learned so much, all because of this addiction called Aircooled VW South Africa

Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
Bought this one last year on the 26th of January. I'm still kicking myself over my stupidity for not having it up and running sooner.

Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
Haven't done much work over the past couple of days because I decided to concentrate on the studies for a bit
Made up some new gaskets for the inlet manifolds, tappet covers, oil fill tube mount and fuel pump block off plate.
I've also decided to use the rockers from my 1800 engine for now, until I do the Mercedes swivel foot rocker modification.
On the electrics side, I will be using the Type 4 alternator and will rewire for an external regulator - The WBX one is proving to be a real bitch to fit.
Pictures to follow shortly.

Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
It's official. I have absolutely no time to work on this car! I only get a chance to work on the car during the weekends, so i hereby pledge that i will not make any more deadlines for it to be alive. The day it happens, it happens. Until then, i'm not rushing anything because i'm doing all the work on the car myself and i have a dayjob plus studying.. I will just have to be patient!
