Please take a picture for me from the back as low as you can. I would like to see how low the Golf motor sits to the ground. I'm also thinking about putting one in my bay.

I have attempted to take some "low down" pics of my engine at the back - sorry for not so great cellphone pics
The engine's sump is just about the same high as the lowest part of the gearbox, and the engine is just a bit lower than the moustache bar. It doesnt sit very low, it sits rather nice, I have done a couple camping trips with the white baybe and drove some rought roads, even some fairly large rocks and the engine cleared fine.

Hey I havn't been updating here much - I babled on other threads about stuff I have done.
I have had the centre pin steering arm bush replaced by Dirk two weeks ago, which was a mission and a half, and took most part of that day, he also fixed my tooter, and fitted a new gear selector shaft bush as I was strugling with 1st and 2nd gear at times.
Other than that, I have not done much else, since time and $$ is in short supply.
Future plans.... dunno, will see what the budget looks like, or maybe get a different project, something like a Ghia or something....

Nice looking bus Goldmad!! Youve made some major progress on her. Were did you get the bumpers powder coated as im looking for a good place to possibly do our bus's rims.

Thanks NTO - looks better on pics than up close though, but, she aint a show bus, she is a camper and working bus 
I cant remember the name of the place where I did the powdercoating, it was in Dykor road, Silverton area.... Ill have to see if I can find the slip and let you know.

Ja nee !!! Having some issues with my Jap Scrap Nissan's injectors, which costs the same as a nice house in Waterkloof 
It wouls seem the bus is more reliable these days than my Jappie ! and will be using her for daily commute since I am waiting for the Injectors from the factory, and dont want to drive it too much untill all is sorted. Eish maara the bus isnt so easy to drive in city traffic rushour.... clutch takes a LOT of foot power to operate, so does the steering need a LOT of MUSCLES from my armpies that is used to POWESTEERING

The sandblasting & powdercoating was done by a place called "NPA Powdercoaters CC" 325 Dykor Street. (012) 804 8653
