Over the weekend quickly fixed the oil leak... the idiot that installed the flywheel [aka me] forgot about the flywheel o ring.

Put the engine back onto the stand, all good now. :)

I've wanted to make a front splitter / bumper for some time now to fit my race bug... a friend of mine gave me a donor bumper this weekend from a BMW e46 m3 race car

It needs a lot of trimming, but will look good when done :D

Nice. I see you have DICE throttles.
Please do me a favour. Can you compare them to an IDF and tell me how much shorter they are? Last time I spoke to Dave, a few years back, I think he said 40mm shorter.

The dice throttle is 87mm from top to bottom base.

We decided to sort out some of our junk last night... funny how you buy stuff because you forgot what you already have. I think we have enough intake manifolds

This is the carburetor cabinet

So true, worst is when you know you have it but can't find it when you needed and stumble onto it when you not looking. LOL.

Yip, I bought a 46mm cromoly flywheel nut about a month ago for my turbo engine, last night found three while cleaning up. One was still brand new. What a way to waste R800

I got a full set of widened fiberglass fenders this weekend for the race beetle. Before we start trimming the bumper it might be best to bolt on the wide fenders and trim according to those. I think the beetle will look real mean with a wider track... and make space for some wider rubber. Right now it's got 225/50/15" all round, maybe we can go for 10" wide all round
