Nice. I actually don't think the newest of the new shapes looks too bad. I digress.... awesome build you have.

Throttle linkage is sorted. I was kind of out of ideas on what exactly to do. My dad took one look at it and made a quick plan that works...

I'll take some pics tonight.

I started on the intercooler and oil cooler water sprayers last night. Got some 0.3mm misting nozzles like what they use on patios etc... so they are mainly there to cool the air and not really spray a lot of water. I would like to keep to 5lt max of water on board to save weight with two pumps... one for the oil cooler and one for the intercooler

Very nice! are you going to have a filter in that system since those nozzles are so fine?

Yes, a normal carburetor plastic filter works good even with water

A ring main might have been better here since it would have given a more even pressure distribution to the spray nozzles and hence a more even spray from all four. Unless your pressure is high enough to not see any noticeable pressure drops after each nozzle?
Also why did you not stagger their placement? might have given greater coverage?
Looks very nicely made, wish my welding was that good!

A windscreen washer pump is capable of supplying 1.5 bar pressure with the four nozzles and maintaining it. So I think it'll be fine. The nozzles face into the airflow and not really directly onto the cooler, the spray pattern is pretty wide as well... but yes I did not even think of staggering the placement
Some time back we did an install on a bmw race car with the same nozzles... probably around 20 on one car. On the radiator, intercooler, oil coolers and brake ducts. On that one we used a fuel injection fuel pump and bled it off at 3 bar.

Works excellent. The pump does not like the water though, a water meth 3 bar pump might be better.
My ally welding sucks. Stainless and mild steel I'm ok, but ally.... if the ally is not 100% clean or the sun & moon is not aligned then it stuffs me around.

Maybe I just need more practice.

What size fan are you using on the intercooler?
I need an 8" fan but can only seem to find 10" fans.

Get hold of these guys @beetlefanatic . This was where I got my oil cooler and fan and I think it was 8" as well.
