Clutch installed & Engine is in, exhaust manifold wrapped and installed. Next step... install the turbo and do some oil plumbing. :)

Wow Louis, that is looking good.
Can I make 1 recommendation? Rather run the turbo's oil drain to the #1&2 cylinder head, it drains quicker and easier than 3&4

Thanks Tony.
I'm not too worried about the oil draining, the idea is that the excess oil will help cool the nr 3-4 cylinder head for what it is worth. :)

Fuel lines are almost done.

1/2" from main tank to surge tank
3/4" from surge tank to fuel filer and fuel pump
1/2" to the rear to be splitted into two 3/8" sections

Fuel pressure regulator still needs to be fitted... it's getting crowded quickly and I have not found a spot for the turbo water cooler yet :?

looking verry good there ! can you show us a pic of where your oil return fits in the t/c , I have had to move mine (twice) as the moving rockers would restrict the return and then cause the turbo seals to blow :(

The oil return is on the 3-4 valve cover, the turbo drain is about 100mm higher than the cover and is fed with a 5/8" pipe. The engine is dry sumped which helps for the oil volume in the valve cover.

Ideally you want the oil drain in the 1-2 valve cover as it drains easier due to the crank rotation.

Thanks for the pic :) I also have my drain running to the 3/4 side (this is the side the turbo is fitted)

I now have the return in the centre of the t/c /rocker arm , the turbo is getting a rebuild so lets hope thats sorts it out .

What size pipe are you using for the oil drain?

Return line has been "upped" twice currently about a 12.5 id on the return and its short about 30cm max :zhelp:

1/2" should be good. Have you restricted the oil inlet to the turbo?
What brand turbo are you using?

Only restriction in the line is a t piece for pressure gauge ,feed id if i remember is a 6mm, ahh the million $ question , the make of the turbo is suspect but on the 2nd rebuild I had Garrett internals fitted , I heard today the turbo is ready for collection i kinda made up my mind to change the turbo to a garrett/TNetics but I want to be sure im not gonna stuff the new turbo .
