Opened my Delivery to day, with the Chrome work that has been re-worked by African Platers in JHB.

The Job did take time, but was well worth it.

Went to see the car being final sprayed today.... :-D

But alas,...... Found some more imperfections, that had to be reworked......

So there goes another week......

Why is it that you can find a Fast Spray Painter, you can also sometimes find a Good Spray Painter, But you can NEVER find a Good, Fast Spray Painter.

So now we have something to look forward to next week, More excuses, more waiting.....

Think the spray shop will be glade to see the back of me.....

Saw the one guy working on the old front sign, adding...

Herman, what mods did you do, so as to cool the Type 4 motor????

Are you still using the type 3 rubber boot to pull air in from the side vents??
Why do we celebrate the guy that invented the wheel??
Surely we must celebrate the guy tat invented the other three

Buy an adapter from IMPI and use that, your Type 4 will be a straight bolt in fit...

The std type 3 rubber will not fit as is, but as Blitz correctly said, will use Impi shroud that bolts on with rubber boot.

The big fix is going to be the making of the stub manifolds to get the 2000lt carbs under the engine cover, with air filters.

Do not want holes cut, or bumps, or other silly things messing with the engine cover, when bonnet is opened, it must look like a type 3, with a fully carpeted storage space, not engine bits sticking out.

Will be making my own manifolds, still on the "To Do " list......

Ja, my engine cover is missing too and the new one been made from a wooden board,

I hope to remove the Type 4 motor if I cannot get the cooling correct.

I have a type 3 motor which I will put in if need be.

More info on the IMPI shroud please! Thanks.

Will let you know all you need for the cooling, but if I was you, I would keep the type 4 engine, its a much better motor, all the :bn: they had with the 1st type 3 motors have been sorted by the time the type 4 came out.If you have a FI motor, it fits under the cover, no problem, with the carbs, it a bit high, need to reduce the manifolds 1st.

Engine covers are available, think that Blitz said he had one, not sure, there will be one on the forum.

PS, was told my FI parts of my engine worked when removed from car, have all the parts needed, but personally, I do not like the FI , but if you want to buy them off me, you welcome.
