Still waiting for my turbo parts...
At least I got my pressure plate yesterday.
KEP STAGE I
180 ft. lb.
"Intended to handle any street VW and engines up to '75 Buick V6. Use stronger clutch for later Buicks"
The standard beetle pressure plate is 134 ft lb.

Hopefully with the bite of this pressure plate the beetle will lift up the front wheels on hard launching.
I can't wait for cars in the park to be over... then I can start stripping my beetle and do the turbo conversion...

An apdate on the car...
I took out the engine on Monday, Stripped it yesterday. Everything still 100% on the inside. The bearings look as if I put them in yesterday
The dog box is now also removed to make space for the turbo and intercooler.
As soon as I get my camera back, then I will put up some pics.

I put the bottom end together last night. All shiny like new.

Only change on the bottom now is the turbo cam. Engle TCS-20
Just waiting now for a set of new mahle 94mm pistons and barrels, then I can do the deck height.
I want to keep the old pistons and barrels for my spare engine. (76 stroker with chevy big end journals, scat c55 cam and those 94mm pistons and barrels

.)
This weekend it's time to cc the heads and finish polishing the combustion chambers.
