It allows for you to plug into site 240v electrics as well as hook up a leisure battery & car battery charging both when connected to 240v or when driving. I have all the internal electrics now on a leisure battery so that the bus will always start after a hard night of partying :) I gave the fridge a miss as I could find on in SA which could do 12 & 240v and was a proper fridge not a cool box. Looked for ages and I couldn't fit a UK one into the suitcase :(

How are you going to party if you forgot the fridge? :zhelp:

I have some plans to build a Zig unit. Haven't really checked it out in detail as I am going with a National Luna dual battery setup.

I've been busy over the last 2 nights and I'm almost complete. I'm hoping to get the bus into the upholster's next week to have the seat cushions, panels and cab seats covered and then it's done.

:) I think it might be more a case of the sub's throw that could damage the cones of the 6x9's
Is that what you were thinking tony?

yip, the pressure made from the sub moving will force the 6x9s to move, thus distorting their sound

Oh.....balls....the holes are there now so I think I'm too late. I will see if I can put a few dividing partitions in to separate. Does the box have to be nearly airtight? or is it just a matter minimising the air flow between the speakers?

just put a small box around each 6x9 if you cant put the sub in a box.

BTW, a sub is supposed to be in a box to make it sound better.

I thought once the seat top is in place it would be in a box....just one big box (110 x 40 cm)? Will look at now as heading out to garage.

yea, it will be. Problem is pressure from the sub moving in or out will have to find a way out in an attempt to get back to atmospheric pressure (rules of nature and science) and the easiest place to go is to move the cones of the other speakers. Put the seat on, disconnect the 6x9s and run the sub hard.... watch the 6x9s bounce

I tried that tonight and the funny thing was everything bounced.... :) I though a Taxi was going past :D. I need to work on this more.....I had no problem wiring but really didn't understand the science behind sound....

I'll try more ideas over the weekend 8)

So weekend done and no real progress made...I had to get the panels and seats finished as the upholsters is next week so had to stop everything else. On the other point, either the generators gone (although just had that rebuild when the bus was in the shop) or it's the regulator but the battery is not getting any charge.

Anyway, that's going to have to wait until the next year.

Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.....next pictures will see a completed interior (apart from the sub boxing) and hopefully a fixed charging system :)
