Here is some pics of my 69 bug i owned in the 80's. At the time it was sort off the look for Bugs, whaletail and all. Had a 1635 motor with rollerbearing crank and twin 36 webers. The car was bought in 1969 by my Uncle for round about R1600, brand new.
Sorry for the quality of the pics, no fancy digital camaras back then.
I'm in no way related to the Company BeetleBuddies.
i love the look of the yellow bug ....once again just a better colour, wheels and id take of those SQAURE lights and burn them in HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!why do people put sqaure lights on a bug!!!!!!!!!!!!!o and id put smaller spotlights on...
I use to fantasize about having a bug like the white one. Sadly I never had enough money to buy one.
A place called Imparts in the cape used to sell the kit. I only saw one in the flesh in 1990. Actually look great.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.
It's known as Malholand or something like that, my 74 project beetle was purchaced with one of those kits, it looked real shit.
Only kept the wider rear fenders the rest whent into the bin, square lights
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......
