What kind of electric fuel pumps are available locally for high performance applications?

I am not talking about the standard facet pump that goes tick tick tick all day long.
I have access to a holley blue pump for around R1000 but was wondering what is available locally first.

I bought a 90 gallon/h Holley pump a while ago for the Nitrous on my Buggy, paid just over R1k for it with the bracketry and regulator. Got it from Sybie at Nitro Performance.....

You can buy a Walbro pump at around R1400.

Bosch also sells some good high pressure pumps.

I have also looked at the Holley Red pump, thats the one rated at 90GPH, but it drops down to 67GPH at 5psi.

The holley blue is rated at 110GPH and this drops to 88GPH at 8psi.

That said, if you paid 1K with regulator for the Red, then 1K with regulator for the blue should be a decent price.

Chris, I am more looking for high flow rate and low pressure, specifically for carburettors
The webers want around 4 psi.

Not sure where in SA you would find,but most likely a high performance shop.I used them years ago on my XR3 racing car.In those years I bought mine at the Lion Bridge in Pta.

I see Spitronics also sell a pump that they use with their Weber conversions.

I used a golf cti pump on my beetle with a fuel pressure regulator regulating at 3,5psi. With that pump you will get over 160lt/h.

I used a malpassi fuel injection regulator, cut the spring shorter and adjusted to where I needed the pressure. So far no issues yet.

Tony, I use Hugo pumps. They go tick-tick, but they are 4psig and deliver ample fuel to the Webers. They go for around R750 and I've had no trouble with them.

This is one problem I've been unable to solve - all the pumps I tried gave too much pressure. Now I'm back to using a facet. Problem is I doubt if it can manage 1.2 bar for when the turbo pressurizes the carbs. Fuel at 4psi won't go into a carb with ~14.7psi in it. What to do in that case? I'm stumped with this.

Fit a feul injection system.

you get pressure regulators that have a turbo manifold pressure connection. They will then keep you fuel at 4psi above whatever pressure they see in the manifold
