Let this be an inspiration to all of us who cry about a bit of rust and send better examples to the scrap metal dealers.

Errr.... choughnotarestorationchough.
I'm sorry. That is not a restoration. He's building a bus from scratch using a scrap bus as template.
All the more respect for the man. If you can't restore it... build a new one.

People in SA have to work with what they have so I don't see why it should be any different elsewhere
Good on them they have gonads.

Damn you!
Damn you!
Damn you!
I JUST finished the first thread, and now this one

I hate it that everytime something good like this(for the VW community world wide), it has to turn into a "Busses/Bugs stolen from SA". Come on, can't we just appreciate the good things!? FFS.
So, those haters, of the British..... If you cant appreciate these two examples, then you dont appreciate what VW Enthusiasts are doing for the reputation of old VWs. How many of you, will buy flat sheet metal and fabricate your OWN panels to repair that bus/bug on the way to be scrapped? If he can, so can you. This just goes to show that the "I pay too much to import panels to repair my bus" argument is bullshit. So instead of moaning that 'they' are stealing our SA busses, you go buy it, and FIX it. Even it it does take you 2 YEARS. I cant seem to find who said it, but
Rant over.necessity is the mother of all creation
