For a second there I thought you were wearing a Louis Vuitton hat, it was a scary moment.

That patch of rust, did you weld inside the car with all the instruments on or?

Daniel, the guy in the hat is "the bright side" and hasnt joined the site yet. He owns the Baja yiu can see.

No welding was done. Filled the hole with prateley steel but the youngsters will learn. I will change that before we carry on.

I will then use the usual NS1 and NS4 to stop the rust.

Thanks Muds.

Consider getting a job with BHP billiton Blitz, you can then make him wear a long sleeve shirt, reflective vest, hard hat, steel toe caps, spats, ear plugs, gloves and Make him do a certificate of competence before he may even think of picking up a tool! Plus the car will need a role cage, flag, reverse siren, chocks, strobe light and have to go through a whole 2 page check list before you can even think of driving it each day!

But ya, glasses can help, sucks getting smacked in the face by those wire bits...

Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard

The only reason I say that is because I've been hit quite a few times with those little pieces of wire

Now if that has to pierce your eye, hmmmmmmm :zhelp:

WISE ADVICE, USE SOME FORM OF EYE PROTECTION. :?
I have had a rust ring in my eye from grinding a cast manifold, not nice had to see a specialist to remove it, the pain is enough reminder to use glasses, I have at least 3 cheap sets in the garage all the time so I don't have to look for a set when I need it. From years of cycling I have quite a few old sets :D
