In August last year I acquired two unregistered/paperless '61 project split buses. It's taken 14 months to get them introduced onto the eNatis system and today, they finally became registered in my name, with all the required licensing document etc. (bar the roadworthy naturally).
Until now, I've been holding off starting the projects just in case something went wrong with the registration and all could/would be lost and wasted.
Possibly, the 14 month wait has been a blessing as it's given me time to think and decide on what 'restore' option to settle on.
The first bus (in my avatar) had been parked on a friend's farm in the Winterberg for +-20 years. In the late '80s, whilst the farmer was driving it to the barn for retirement/storing

The second bus, a DC, had been cannibalized and used as spare parts to keep the first bus going through the '80s. It had been (drivetrainless) flat on it's belly, in the felt, next to the shed for as long as anyone can remember. The farmer insisted I take it too
Over the past year I've also had time to scout the land for donor parts and I was lucky to find a home made buggy which had been built from a written off Fleetline. The drive train and engine were a perfect fit for the DC.
Another lucky find was a '66 ambulance which had been used for target practice for the last ten years.
Together they virtually furnished me with all the bits and pieces I was missing.
So now I just need to find a way of splitting this post into two project links and I can go and work/play with my buses.
