Time to celebrate

In August last year I acquired two unregistered/paperless '61 project split buses. It's taken 14 months to get them introduced onto the eNatis system and today, they finally became registered in my name, with all the required licensing document etc. (bar the roadworthy naturally).
Until now, I've been holding off starting the projects just in case something went wrong with the registration and all could/would be lost and wasted.
Possibly, the 14 month wait has been a blessing as it's given me time to think and decide on what 'restore' option to settle on.
The first bus (in my avatar) had been parked on a friend's farm in the Winterberg for +-20 years. In the late '80s, whilst the farmer was driving it to the barn for retirement/storing

, the bus ran out of petrol on his front lawn. Before he could move it, his young daughter had turned it into a Wendy House. Three daughters and 18 years later the girls had grown up and were now embarrassed about the scrap metal thing still parked in the front lawn. So when I showed interest in it they basically begged me to take it away.
The second bus, a DC, had been cannibalized and used as spare parts to keep the first bus going through the '80s. It had been (drivetrainless) flat on it's belly, in the felt, next to the shed for as long as anyone can remember. The farmer insisted I take it too

.
Over the past year I've also had time to scout the land for donor parts and I was lucky to find a home made buggy which had been built from a written off Fleetline. The drive train and engine were a perfect fit for the DC.
Another lucky find was a '66 ambulance which had been used for target practice for the last ten years.
Together they virtually furnished me with all the bits and pieces I was missing.
So now I just need to find a way of splitting this post into two project links and I can go and work/play with my buses.

Congrats!!!
What would be cool is any tips/tricks to getting the process done smoothly (ok 14 months isn't smoothly, but you get the idea)

Yeh right. It wasn't as easy as waiting 14 months for normal Elephant gestation.
The first 8 months were spent going backwards and forwards to the licensing, weight bridge, car theft, vehicle identification, etc etc departments getting all the necessary documentation in perrrrrfect order before licensing would accept them for processing. One day I'll write a book on that ordeal alone.
Then it was a 6 month wait for Bisho to process them. Even then I still don't have any info on the papers for my Beach Buggy intro. So it's only really 2 out of 3.
At least the

part is over and the fun part

can begin.

So 14 months with no posts on your projects.....you have a lot to make up for!
Love both the buses and can't wait to see 2 project threads created and the work to start.
Congratulations
