That is gorgeous Skymac! WOW! I love Spitfires but was forbidden from getting one(they too low, you will wind up under a truck). Needless to say my dad actually had one back in the day (also British racing green). How many layers of paint did you remove before you sprayed the red?

Wish my front clam or rear clam came off as easily as your spitfires nose

The bonnet just hinges off two bolts in front of the car.
There was about a thumb thickness of body putty in some places on the body, took a lot of heating, crimping and panelbeating to sort out the problem, there was also serious rust that had to be cut out and plates welded in.
I am now busy with the wiring, then it is done. I have 3 beetles waiting their turn as well.

I have bought a Marlin Roadster, look it up on Google, I believe it is the only one in Souith Africa. It is a Brittish kit car built on a spitfire chassis.
