This is great to see......buses being cared for in SA and I think finally people are seeing it's worth it! I'm see more and more of the VWAC's being saved every day.

Apparently they are going for good money too - about 100k

Think if the price goes up a little we will get more people seeing the value and thus respecting AC's a bit more - perhaps even have some parts suppliers bringing stuff back in to support the following

Think you are right splitz, looks like a 15 window deluxe, also can't spot a pressed in badge on the grey one now that you mention it...no wait, its there, very faint, but its a fleetline.

The seam on the long panel, right hand side, is also a give away. Some people cut out the badge and weld in flat metal.
You can never have enough Garages :-(

15 Window Deluxe?

I doubt very much that it's a 15 window Deluxe.They are more scarce than the Sambas and was produced before 1964.

So the "fried egg" flicker lenses tells me it can't be a 15 window Deluxe.

What does that seam mean? Mo doesn;t have that seam but could well be filled, who knows?

Apparently fleetlines have the seam, so the fact that Frank's bus does NOT have the seam, proves the point I guess?
