Bosal Beetle exhaust

Post by jmvv »

I needed a replacement exhaust for a customer's Beetle, and while phoning around for prices, I heard the Bosal still supply Beetle exhausts

Step two involved getting onto Bosal's website and lo and behold, they still list the exhaust.

To make a long story short, I ended up with a complete Bosal exhaust system for about 60 percent of the prices quoted for the chinese imports

I got prices from various "Beetle Suppliers" of R1500 for the silencer, R350 for the pea shooters etc

The whole shebang came to just under R2000, and I thought it was a bit steep.

I got the Bosal for trade cost, and as I don't want to screw others who make their living fitting exhausts, I wont publish the prices, but it was nowhere near R2000.

Guys, will this fit a 1200 engine 62 beetle?

Rui - where did you get those prices and do you perhaps have part numbers?

Thanks

:? not entirely sure, but we fitted a silencer last @ Supa Quick
Ours has the Chrome Pipes, the non-pea shooter type. :)
The Heater boxes etc.. are shot tough ...
so will need to replace the whole she-bang this time.
Sounds like it may have a hole again at the silencer - Chrome pipe exit
:?

Calooker is correct... its rather unfortunate that the young fella that updated the website does not know that the 1200 exhaust and the 1300 have a major size difference.
