New 1835cc dressed Motor

Post by VDud Bulli »

I'm selling my recently built 1835cc motor.
It's done approximately 3500km so it's nicely run in!
The pic shows it with twin carbs but I've since changed it back to a single carb setup and it runs sweeet. Twin carbs were nice to look at but a bit of a ball ache.
The single carb(34pict3) was also overhauled/refurbished and has been jetted correctly for the larger 1835cc.
Everything else is stock except the exhaust (EMPI monza twin tip). Nice if you not bothered with a heater!
The Engine has all new bearings, pistons & sleeves, new heads etc.
The engine was done by Deon Slabbert who has been building VW Sport engines for his trike business and other VW's.

I've currently got it in my bus and it really does go nicely but I reckon it will be even better in a Beetle or Gia.
The reason for selling is that I have 2 type4 motors that I would like to IMPI'fy and need the cash from this motor to do the others and once the Type4's are done I would be sitting with it with no car to put it into. Best to let it go now.
Spent about R13 000
Would like R10 000
