My VW roots

Here is a pic of my dad, Uncle Tommy, with his first car. Its a 1955 oval. The year of this pic was 1961.

And this one is of me @ 4, 1971

If you look in the right corner you can see a VW manual. I believe this used to be my favourite "reading" book. We still have this book and still find it one of the most usefull Beetle books.

We lived in a Flat, Palm Hof, Gardens at that time. This is the first time I saw the inners of a Beetle Motor when my Dad recon'ed my Moms Beetles Motor on the Stoep.
