Type 3 bullets

Post by Pine »

I have this set of Type 3 bullet front indicators that I wanted to put on HW2, but it has turned out that I would need to cut the chromed base, in order to make it fit.

Still haven't decided if I will go ahead, but in the meanwhile I want to silence my guilty consciousness by making it available here first. So that no-one can blame me afterwards, if I do cut them. The lenses are brand new, bought from Calooker two years ago. Looking at around R 400 for the set as is. They will not fit a Karmann Ghia, as the shape of the base is different.

Pine, I would be interested if I can make them to fit to my beetle?

Do you know if I can "universal" fit them? Something like in the pic?

I really cant say, Muds. This is the position they are fitted on a Type 3. Not visible in the picture, but they have a small 'wedge' in the center to fit the ridge of the Type 3 fender. I am sure with a thick U-shaped rubber around the egdes, they will look stock on a Beetle?

Thanks Muds, I was actually just yanking your chain, but I'll take them if you aren't interested.
