I got hold of 4 of these Beetle Rims. On the inside (inside the tyre itself) is stamped : "Ruberowen Metal Pressing - Made in South Africa - 5 1/2 K x 15 ". There is a bit of rust on the inside, but I plan to clean them up and fit them to my silver '78 1600L. Anybody now anything about them/ seen them before ?

As far as I can research on the interweb they appear to be a defunct company from PE that made wheels for GMSA, tools and other things. Best info that I can find is here: http://wiki.owwm.com/%28S%28bfdfie55nam ... eSupport=1
I have not heard of them other than this research.

AFAIK they also supplied wheel discs to VWSA in the late 60's.
