A challenge - identify the rev counter :)

Post by joose »

Hi all,

There is a Ghia parked up the road from my office outside a block of flats. Its owned by a woman who unfortunately wont sell it and its basically rotting away under a shade cloth :( The most interesting thing about this Ghia though, is that it has a rev counter. Now before you get all excited and think its an Okrana or something, take a look at this pic. Its a very crap picture taken from my cell phone through the closed window, so half the challenge is seeing what is in the picture! The other half of the challenge is identifying the gauge. My guess is that its some kind of aftermarket tach from the 70's or 80's based on the fact that it looks too small for the hole in the dash and it doesnt look like VDO. What do you guys think? :

lol, thats why I said it was a challenge :) the car is locked and the owner wont see anyone or even consider selling it, so even with a real camera its unlikely I will get a better pic because I cant get into the car and there is lots of reflection from the side glass and shade cloth. I took about 10 pics of the rev counter and this was the best one!
