best place to get kombi parts

Can anyone give me some advice on some good places to get kombi parts. As in trimmings, eye lids and interior parts.

Thanks for the help guys. Ya i am a bit new to this, I have updated my profile now. Im from durban actually. I see Dave rowley has a branch (volks spares) iin Durban so will see what they can help me with and look at importing any other parts i need.

Import yourself if worthwile (import duties ...)
Check out JustKampers in the UK. http://www.justkampers.com/
They've got a lot of stuff but not all (eg.: they don´t have the narrower door panels clips and rubbers only the wider beetle type).

Hey ya i got it from luke. Had a long trip back, took us like 30 hours, but was a great experience as its my first kombi. I did hear of a place called ProAuto rubbers that supply rubbers for my kombi. Have you guys heard anthing about them, they in SA. Is it better to import your rubbers?
I have been looking at importing most of my stuff just want to make sure i get everything at the same time.

Pro-Auto Rubbers, in Kilarney Gardens, Cape. They sell a complete rubber kit for your model. However, be cautious, some of the members here say that the front door rubbers don't let the doors close properly ...... ask around first.

Hi, I got the Pro Auto pack, no issues with the window rubbers, which is pretty standard, but would advise you to stear clear of door rubbers, like jolas said. I have found that the engine lid rubber is softer and a bit thinner, which makes it seat better in the front doors. The rubber they sell for the front doors are hard and too "fat" to allow the doors to close properly. I ended up using the engine lid rubber at the back vertical section (where the door lock is) while using the rubber they supplied for the doors on the rest.

Hi Guys
would i Weber carb like this suit a kombi like mine. Its a 1700 kombi camper. any advice before i get it?

My view and it’s a very new one - only started to look at this stuff 6 months ago.

1) This will allow for an easier service as its one carb instead of two no balancing
2) The distance from the carb to the cylinder is however, very much increased so
a. Condensation may occur between carb and cylinder (usual only in the cold)
b. There is a fairly large bend - the flow which is therefore reduced
i. More air easier into the engine = more power, less air less power
This carb is “said” to be more economical than a dual setup however, my belief is that a well setup dual carb is better than a single – the issue is getting your dual system setup properly.
Just my 2 cents – If it’s a good price and your carbs are not in the best nick then go for it, will save some trouble in the long run.
I am saving for a dual Weber setup in the future (2011)
