WOW,thanks for the pics, good luck with this project.
Do you have any early split bus bits and pieces in your trove, I'm looking for some bits and bobs for my ambulance i.e bench seat, pressed bumpers, '56 tail lights, reverse light, etc, etc ?

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Re: split ambulance project
Hi
I have a bit together, corner sections with correct tail light houdings, reverse light with speedo activated swicth, blue light( Thanks Dan ), 67 tail lights, with chrome trim, fried egg indicators
The bus still has the fans, thank who ever that they were not stripped, worth more than i paid for the van,
needs a gearbox fitted as the owner hacked a Brazilia box in it, i have one luckily, also need to find a 1500 motor, else i will have to fit mt 2.4 flat4 aircooled to it.
i want to get all the parts together before i start, other than the missing interior parts. so nearly there,
which tail lights are the 56? i have a new set of repro round lights like a '59 with glass lenses.

Re: split ambulance project
Hi Stuart - the picture below shows the "goodies" I need : bumpers, tail light lenses, reverse light, etc. I'm hoping to get a (correct year) rear hatch very soon
Thought you may have a bench seat amongst your lot ?
Sorry for the hi-jack

Here's a pic of what yours will hopefully look like when you're finished the restoration

No Hassle
Yes hope fully it will get to that stage, seems to have been a lighter cream colour, Normal rear bumpers are scarce and you want ribbed bumpers, think that is harder to find than chickens teeth, may need to have fibre glass units or a big cheque book, will see what i come across.
