The Yellow Thingy-me-bob: Spyder

Post by rouxlouis »

Okay, so the Yellow-Thingy-me-Bob is finally getting some attention.
It's difficult working on 3 Projects at the same time.

Here's how I found her:

.....and then a good old clean-up and wash!

Needless to say that I became a little yellow man from Mars, only to enjoy a good glass of mine by my SP.

Pine, I decided on Pearl Antracite Black Metallic (large flakes) basecoat and then a clear-coat.
The bonnet will be carbon fibre as well as the top section (cone-part) that's currently in grey.
I will finish off with billet aluminium striping on the areas over the existing grey (which will then be carbon)

A final touch will be the logo on my surfboard (Safari Spider), except the spelling would be Spyder in billet aluminium on top of the carbon fibre.

Any suggestions from your side and this site will be greatly appreciated!!!!
I might have an idea of what I want to do, but if I throw the concept in the air, only great suggestions can come from great knowledgable giants :hangloose:

good work, but I do have to wonder.... how can you work on a VW/Porsche while wearing a Fiat cap?

Btw, yellow means you are chicken Image

True dude, TRUE!
I must admit that I did not think I'll have that much dust and yellow on me!!
Luckily, the cap came out unscathed.

Okay, so now it's time for filling and primer..........and then the wet-flatting that will leave me without fingerprints and with sore arms.
It's a wax-on-wax-off Danielson situation ....... (sigh)
